Nelson boatyard around 50 minutes from the quayside by taxi/minibus. On that note it's around 25 dollars but if you don't mind sharing you can get them down to 15 dollars each way for a minibus of 8. Prearrange the pick up time with the driver. Allow 2 - 2 half hours to get round. Entry fee 15 dollars at the time of writing.
If you like history there is a free tour or you can take yourself off on your own. There is a museum and some places to eat and drink as well as a small ships bakery.
